So this is what happened this week…
This week’s main shout out is to Simmed Up Magazine

“Taking an image, freezing a moment, reveals how rich reality truly is.” — Anonymous

I really wanted to watch this together on stream today. In an elective media class I took in University we watched Blade Runner literally frame by frame. My favourite theme that I focused on was that of photographs. This scene stuck with me all of these years later.

Photography is woven into my world view. Photos and the art of taking them, has layers of meaning for me. One that I often encourage is to take a photo each day. It can be anything. Looking at the world around you with meaning and mindfulness is enriching. In my opinion.

Shout out for this simtographer on Simstagram that always catches my eye. They use reshade to get their look, and give us the additional tip to “learn how to work with the light”. Check them out.

Learn a new word and something about photography.
This isn’t technically a true vertorama, but it has that up and down imagery vs the side to side of a panorama.

I didn’t end up taking many photos here, but I used it to show some camera tricks. RGR makes some great lots for story set designs though so be sure to check them out.

We were exploring some different camera tips and techniques today and captured a few story-worthy photos.

I read this wonderful flash fiction story today and I recommend you read it too.
